# Hyperaven Cloud Systems

> Hyperaven Cloud is a multi-region cloud control plane built on open-source infrastructure for tenant self-service, admin/operator control, and service provider cloud delivery.

Hyperaven Cloud helps organizations operate cloud infrastructure without locking operations to a single proprietary vendor. It brings tenant-facing self-service, admin/operator governance, region operations, support, audit, API access, and lifecycle workflows into one product experience.

## Positioning

- Multi-region cloud control plane built on open-source infrastructure.
- Tenant self-service plus admin/operator governance in one product surface.
- Service provider mode for organizations delivering cloud services to many tenants.
- Hosted, on-prem, hybrid, multi-region/multi-DC, private-network, and air-gapped deployment models.
- White-label tenant panel support while admin/operator surfaces keep the Hyperaven Cloud product identity.
- Useful for organizations evaluating VMware alternatives built on open-source cloud infrastructure with guided VMware/KVM migration flows.

## Production Problem

Cloud operations slow down when compute, network, storage, Kubernetes, GPU, backup, migration, identity, quota, support, audit, and monitoring live in separate tools. Multi-region operation adds another layer: regional capacity, tenant boundaries, service state, and HA or active-active topology decisions need to be visible from one control plane.

Hyperaven Cloud provides the operational layer for this: region-aware administration, tenant service boundaries, service availability, audit, events, API access, and operator workflows in one product surface.

## Tenant Capabilities

- VM lifecycle, networks, routers, floating IPs, security groups, SSH keys, volumes, snapshots, images, load balancers, VPN, Kubernetes, S3/Object Storage, support, 2FA, and API keys.
- Backup visibility: tenants can monitor backup status and protected machines.
- Self-service workflows are guided by provider policies, quotas, and access rules.

## Admin and Operator Capabilities

- Region management, runtime config, service availability, endpoint/version overrides, encrypted secrets, async jobs, real-time events, and audit.
- Account, domain, project, quota, tariff/pricing, access/RBAC, support, flavor, image, and volume type operations.
- Region-owned explorers for Ceph health and inventory, backup plans/jobs/restores, Placement visibility, Masakari/Instance HA, and Cyborg/GPU accelerators.
- Bare Metal Management for host onboarding and compute capacity expansion.

## Service Catalog

- Compute: VM lifecycle, flavors, images, GPU/accelerator-aware offerings, and Instance HA with Masakari.
- Networking: networks, routers, floating IPs, security groups, load balancers, and VPN workflows.
- Storage: volumes, snapshots, S3/Object Storage, Backup as a Service, and Ceph monitoring.
- Kubernetes: ClusterAPI-based Kubernetes lifecycle with upgrades and node group add/remove operations managed from the Hyperaven Cloud panel.
- Migration: VMware/KVM migration as guided product flows.
- Operations: LDAP, access/RBAC, support/ITSM, events, audit, API docs, OpenAPI/Swagger, and API keys.

## Current Versus Roadmap

Current product messaging can include S3/Object Storage, Backup as a Service, Kubernetes lifecycle, GPU assignment, Ceph monitoring, Instance HA, VMware/KVM migration, Bare Metal Management, LDAP, support/ITSM, events, audit, API docs, and API keys.

Roadmap items include MCP Server, Kubernetes etcd backup, HyperavenAI/AIaaS, PaaS for PostgreSQL/Kafka/Redis, Shared File System, CLI, Marketplace, and future OpenStack release SDK compatibility. Shared File System should be described as roadmap, not a current service.

## Simulator and Live Demo

The upcoming Hyperaven Cloud simulator will mirror real admin/operator and tenant workflows with safe mock data. Teams that want to experience the live production environment can request a guided demo account.

## Good Fit

- Cloud service providers building multi-tenant cloud services.
- Organizations operating cloud on their own infrastructure.
- Enterprises that need private, hybrid, multi-DC, or air-gapped cloud operations.
- Teams evaluating VMware alternatives built on open-source cloud infrastructure.
- Teams that need tenant workflows, operator workflows, support, API access, events, and audit connected in one control plane.
